Meet The Team

Executive Director

Kris Pedretti is an outspoken advocate for victims of sexual assault on social media, in televised interviews, documentaries, podcasts, and national conferences. She also actively engages with law enforcement about the benefits of trauma-informed interviewing and facilitates online and in-person support groups to provide a safe space for healing.

Board Member At Large

Carol A. Daly is a nationally recognized law enforcement leader with over 33 years of service, including becoming the first woman appointed Undersheriff of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department and the first female Chair of California’s Board of Prison Terms. A 1975 graduate of the FBI National Academy, she specialized in Crimes Against Children, sexual assault, and homicide investigations, earning numerous state and national awards for leadership and service. Carol’s career has been defined by integrity, compassion, and a lifelong commitment to serving victims and the community

Treasurer

Steve has actively embraced supporting sexual assault victims through co-hosting group gatherings, fundraising, and installing soft interview rooms for victims of crime.

Steve serves as Treasurer of Phyllis’s Garden and is a founding member of the Board of Directors.

 

Youth Ambassador and Social Media Manager

My name is Amanda, and I am honored to serve as the Youth Ambassador and Social Media Manager for Phyllis’s Garden. Driven by a passion for justice and human rights, I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Forensic DNA at UC Davis. Outside of my work and studies, I enjoy spending time in nature, traveling, baking, and gardening.

Secretary

Bonnie, who is also a sexual assault survivor, has spent many years in healthcare and later supervised health and human services advisory commissions for local government. She has experience as a member and Board member of several Sacramento non-profits supporting healthcare, volunteer training, and children’s social services.
